The sons of Jacob or Israel, who, when and what's the deal?
Who are the Twelve sons of Jacob and why was there a Joseph Egypt (Was he actually one of the twelve)?
To answer the first part of this question one can visit & read the Book of Genesis 35:23 - 35:26 to find the answers to who the twelve sons of Jacob were.
Leah had (1)Reuben, (2)Simeon, (3)Levi, (4)Judah, (5)Issachar, and (6)Zebulun;
Zilpah, had (7)Gad and (8)Asher
Rachel had (9)Joseph and (10)Benjamin
Bilhah had (11)Dan and (12)Naphtali
The second part of this question is YES, Joseph is one of the 12 sons of Jacob (Israel) and this can found and fairly clearly understood by reading Book of Genesis 37:12 - 37:36 in it's entirety.
